Last year, my husband; our two daughters and I embarked on a 5 month road trip that took us from the French Alps to Dubai via Italy, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, Switzerland to Paris. We flew to the UK, Portugal and Morocco and then sailed from Barcelona through The Med to Dubai and back to The French Alps via Geneva by plane. It was the most incredible adventure and one that we will cherish for life.
Looking back at the photos, I’m amazed at how many miles we covered and how many precious memories were created. As amazing as it was however, it wasn’t without its challenges. Home schooling; sourcing whole, organic foods; preparing home cooked meals; working with routine; being sleep deprived; visiting foreign speaking countries; being at the mercy of online bookings that didn’t always meet their description and being away from supportive friends and family, often presented unforeseen obstacles on a regular basis. My sanity saver, my ability to stay calm under any circumstance, regardless of where we were, whether there was space for a yoga mat or not, was the ability to hit the daily reset button, with meditation.
This experience of meditation supported me staying centred and keeping my cool when things didn’t go according to plan. Since returning to Sydney, life is more full on than ever and the demands of running a household, raising a family and living in Sydney are in many ways even more challenging. But the constant when things get wobbly is my daily practice of clearing my mind, letting go of the story and getting centred. It makes life more enjoyable.
I have taught meditation for many years now, however my personal experience of meditation over the past few years has been so profound that I created a special program that includes many of these practices I use regularly, so you can enjoy the benefits too.
I’ve called this program “Turn Up Your Zen” And it’s quite unique.
Not only does this program introduce you to meditation if you are new to it. But for anyone who has tried meditation and not quite found a style that suits them, this program offers the chance to try several different styles of meditation and discover that sweet one, which is just perfect for you.
But most importantly – and this is what makes it unique – the magical value of meditation comes with regular practice. And it’s regular practice that eludes most people. That’s why this program includes support for daily practice during the initial 5 weeks with a further 3 months of continued, online support after the initial program, to ensure you meet your meditation goals. That means support for you to create a new habit of turning agro into let-go till the end of 2016: Just in time to start the new year with a new outlook on life.
